Cross Country Captain - Role Description

(Mens and Ladies Captains to liaise and share the roles below)



Attend Mid-Lancs XC Fixtures Meeting (August) and AGM (November)
Attend Mid-Lancs AGM Presentation Evening to collect Medals
	Arrange additional medals as required for the medal-winning team(s)
	Present Mid-Lancs XC Individual and Team Medals

Arrange Payment of Mid-Lancs XC Affiliation Fees (in conjunction with treasurer)

Advertise XC Fixtures/Dates

Encourage members to take part and provide assistance/guidance

Enter/register runners for Mid-Lancs XC and for ECCA XC Relays, UKA Cross-Challenge at Sefton Park (incorporating Mid-Lancs XC),
Northern and National XC Champs and arrange payment of fees (in conjunction with treasurer)

Arrange transport to XC Fixtures from Cricket Club (car sharing or coach for long-distances)

Organise helpers for Mid-Lancs XC Fixtures and other venues where WRR has agreed to assist

Ensure XC Tent is taken to each Event for shelter/changing and organise refreshments

Write, maintain and publish XC Report, Championship Table and results roundup after each event

Announce XC fixture report at next available Club night and announce forthcoming fixtures/arrangements

Organise XC Championship Presentation Evening

	Procure and arrange engraving of XC Trophies (Trophy Shop, Bispham)

	Arrange food/refreshments for XC Presentation Evening (Kirkham Cricket Club)

	Provide summary round-up of the XC Season/notable performances/achievements

	Present Awards and Trophies (Open, Vets, Mud, Sweat and Spikes awards)

Liaise with the Website Editor regarding advertising and publishing XC details / results / tables

Promote the club when and wherever possible
